WSU Research OVPR Current Events

What's an eProp and Why Do I Need One?  eProp/COEUS is a web-based proposal development tool created to assist faculty and research administrators in streamlining the pre-award process. This tool brings together general propposal information, budget development and science pieces in one location on the web which can be accessed from WSU or home.  Sponsored Program Admininstration Training will conduct a hands-on demonstration of eProp, guiding participants through the proposal development process used for submission of external and internal funding.

Register for eProp Training, March 4, 10:30-12:00 p.m.

Does My Research Project Require IRB Review?  It may be sometimes difficult to tell if a research project needs to be reviewed by the IRB. The requirement to have IRB review and approval is only for research projects that meet the criteria of Human Participant Research as defined by the regulations. This session will review that definition and the kinds of research that do not require IRB review and how to request a determination from the IRB Administration Office. In many cases, determinations of whether research is considered to be “human participant research” should be made by the IRB/IRB Administration Office.

Register for IRB Training, February 27, 1:00-2:00 p.m.
