Foreign Study

The Department of Political Science offers a number of Foreign Study experiences and works closely with other departments to improve students' access to foreign travel.  See the programs below for more information.

University of Salford, UK Student Exchange
Salford is located near the heart of Manchester, England's third largest city. The greater Manchester Area, one of England's major urban centers, offers both city living and easy access to the English countryside, historic landmarks and many cultural attractions. Salford is an "applied" university with approximately 5,000 undergraduate students. Salford concentrates on practical aspects of academic subjects as well as on underlying theory.  Students from any Wayne State college or school are eligible to apply provided their plans are approved by the department where they expect to earn their degrees. WSU students take classes in the Department of Contemporary Politics and History. The exchange can last either one or two semesters, although students strongly are urged to consider staying for two semesters is possible.
