Henry and Donnelly Award Winners

The David D. Henry Award is given to one female and one male undergraduate completing their studies in the fall semester and the Howard A. Donnelly Award is given to one female and one male undergraduate completing their studies in the winter semester. The awards are the same, but the name of the award is determined by what semester the recipient completes his/her studies. These awards are presented at a campus-wide leadership reception in April. The David D. Henry/Howard A. Donnelly Award Selection Committee is comprised of university faculty.

The David D. Henry Award was established in 1948 to honor the third University President and the Howard A. Donnelly Award was established in 1927 at the request of Mr. Howard Donnelly, a friend of the University, through a grant provided in his name.

The students speak at commencement on behalf of the graduating class.

Note: The award is not a cash award, but a gift and public recognition.
