Urban Studies Student Internship Opportunities

Internships allow students to apply the skills and theories taught in the classroom to real situations, gaining knowledge that cannot be taught within the walls of a classroom. To help support and encourage connections between local organizations and students currently enrolled in the Urban Studies program at Wayne State University, we are assembling a list of Detroit-area organizations that have expressed interest in hosting a student intern. If you are interested in interning with any of these organizations, you should contact the organization to inquire about any application requirements or interview process. Also, make an appointment with your advisor to verify what will be required in order to receive credit for the internship. Specific assignments and other details of the internship would be worked out between you and the host organization.
